There’s one thing we can all agree on — patrons are, hands down, the best people on the planet. They make it all possible and give you the freedom you need to pursue your creative ambitions. Collectively, they’re changing the way art is valued in the world. They’re straight-up amazing.

That’s why we’re inviting you to surprise your patrons on November 19th, #ThankYouPatrons day! This is the day of the year where the Patreon creator community comes together to publicly express their gratitude for their patrons. It’s seriously easy to join — all you have to do is share a simple post, a dedicated video/drawing/song (or honestly, whatever inspires you) on Twitter or Instagram using #ThankYouPatrons. Every year, you up the creativity and get us to shed a tear or two — check these 2018 highlight to see what we’re talking about, plus jump to our forum thread from last year to get more ideas.

#ThankYouPatrons day 2019 takes place on November 19th, just a few weeks away.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Tell your patrons how much they mean to you or what you’ve you been able to accomplish creatively and professionally with them by your side.
  • You can participate simply by tweeting/posting some love, or go all out and make a dedicated/special video, episode, comic, or whatever it is you do best.
  • This is a surprise! We want your patrons to be shocked by the gratitude party on Twitter and Instagram on Nov. 19th, so keep this campaign hush hush.
  • Be sure to use #ThankYouPatrons, as we’ll be watching for responses throughout the day and re-sharing our favorites. A few days after, we’ll email all patrons with a recap to make sure they didn’t miss the love.

We’re very excited to see what you come up with and can’t wait to create a special moment for patrons all over the globe. Reply below if you’re going to join and if you have any ideas about what you will do already!

I’ve set up a Bookfunnel promotion that I’ll be sending out to my newsletter so that they can explore books by other Patreon Creators, feel free to add your book to the promotion, just make sure to add your Patreon link in the comments section so that I know you are a Patreon creator. You can add your book here. Deadline to submit is 14th November.

Reminder: Thank you Patrons day is this Tuesday, November 19th!

In case you’re low on time or need a little help figuring out what to post, we’ve put together a kit of assets.

  • For this special day, we’ve developed a group of different artwork styles to share alongside your posts—just download and post to Twitter, Instagram, or any platform of your choice.

  • Instagram Post and Story templates are there to use as backgrounds for a special note or gif — You can use Instagram’s simple story editor, or a tool like Canva, to do so.

  • We’ve also added some digital stickers, because cute. Post however you’d like!

  • All of this artwork was put together by illustrator Morgan Ramberg — Feel free to tag @morganramberg on Instagram when you post.
